Introduction

Sepang Community Consultative Committee or formerly known as Jawatankuasa Perunding Penduduk (JPP) Sepang was formed on 2005 and has been launched by the President of Sepang Municipal Council at Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang. The mission of this committee are consistent with the approach of Local Agenda 21 that has been started since year 2000.

Sepang Community Consultative Committee divided into 24 zones in order to smoothen the administration task of Sepang Municipal Council with the capacity of land area 59,966 hectares and 155,120 residents.

Function

To consolidate the functionality of Council Member as an agent to communicate between the Council and the community.
As an agent between informer, policy and the Council rules to the community.
To encourage community participation in all activities organize by the Council
To monitor all the activity done by variety of community association in each zones
To execute activity of Local Agenda 21 towards sustainable development within Sepang Municipal Council jurisdiction area.

Roles / Task

To organize Community Consultative Committee Meeting for every month
To nominate the member name to the Principal of Community Consultative Committee.
Planning and organizing society activity and the development of mankind for each zones.
To fit the relationship between Council and the community through the variety of activities for instance mutual aid, dialogue session, speech, games and etc.
To provide relevant information about the Council policy, Cleanliness Campaign and current activities to the community.
As a channel for community to log their complaint, problems and submit application to the Council.
To monitor the complaint through e-complaint system or via community feedback.

Background

The Cyberjaya Community Consultative Committee was formed on January 2007 and consist of 18 members. This zone is headed by YDM Tengku Dato' Dr. Jamaluddin Bin Tengku Mahmud Shah Al Haj who is an MPSepang Council Member.
The committee meets regularly among other:

To discuss the community needs in Cyberjaya
To cooperate with the activitiy held in Cyberjaya
To organize community activities
